Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about the Claude Plugins Directory, listings, and analytics.

What does 'Copies' mean?
Every time someone clicks the Copy button next to the install command on a plugin's detail page, it counts as one copy — a real-time signal of how many visitors intended to install the plugin.
What are Stars?
Stars reflect the GitHub star count for the plugin's repository, synced when the plugin is submitted.
What analytics do free listings get?
Free listings show only the copy count — how many times the install command was copied from this directory.
What analytics do Regular and Featured listings get?
Paid listings unlock total page views, a 30-day daily view trend chart, and a traffic source breakdown showing which sites send visitors to your plugin page.
What's the difference between Regular and Featured listings?
Regular — priority placement above free listings, full analytics dashboard, and priority review. Featured — everything in Regular plus top placement, Featured section inclusion, blue star badge, and one of only 5 available featured slots.
What is Founding Creator pricing?
Early creators lock in 40% off standard pricing ($29/mo Regular, $59/mo Featured) for as long as their subscription stays active. Applies to the first 20 Regular listings and first 5 Featured slots.
How do I get my plugin listed?
Click Submit Plugin in the navigation bar. Fill in the plugin name, description, repo URL, type, and author. All submissions go through a manual review.
How do I upgrade my listing?
Visit the Pricing page and pick a plan. You'll be redirected to Stripe checkout. Once payment is confirmed, your listing upgrades immediately.
Can I cancel my listing subscription?
Yes. Manage or cancel anytime via the Stripe customer portal. Your listing reverts to the free tier at the end of the billing period — no data is lost.
What is the quality score?
Every plugin receives a score from 0–100 computed from five weighted dimensions: Maintenance (30%), Popularity (28%), Documentation (22%), Manifest Richness (7%), and Trust & Safety (13%).
What do the quality tier badges mean?
Excellent (85+) — production-ready, actively maintained. Strong (75–84) — reliable with good signals. Solid (60–74) — functional and maturing. Emerging (below 60) — early stage.
How often are scores updated?
Scores refresh automatically in the background using live GitHub data.
How does scoring work for plugins in a monorepo?
Maintenance, Documentation, and Manifest Richness are scored from the plugin's own folder. Popularity and Trust & Safety are computed once for the whole repository and shared across sibling plugins.
Where do I see my plugin's analytics?
Sign in and click Dashboard. Your dashboard lists every plugin with its copy count, review status, and — for paid listings — the full analytics panel.
